Should You Purchase “Spider-Man 2”? An Insightful Look from a Gamer’s Perspective.

“Spiderman 2” isn’t just a game; it’s an experience. It masterfully blends storytelling, gameplay, and technical prowess into a cohesive package that appeals to gamers of all kinds. Whether you’re in it for the thrill of swinging between New York’s skyscrapers, the emotional rollercoaster of Peter Parker’s life, or the sheer joy of being Spiderman, this game delivers on all fronts. It’s a testament to the power of video games as a medium of art and entertainment. So, if you haven’t already, swing into action and get your copy of “Spiderman 2.” You won’t regret it.

The Nemesis System Should be in Every Open-World Game.

I’m sure there’s a reason the Nemesis system just wouldn’t work. There would need to be a setting for either killable or hard-to-kill rivals. Every character is fairly easy to kill with the right gear and strategy. This is the case with Fallout as well. NPCs prove to be particularly easy to kill and that would kill the need of having the feature in the franchise.

Where Does Bowser Come from and What’s His Deal?

Is this thinking to deeply into Super Mario lore? Sure, but we’re in a time where everything has a strong backstory and cartoonish evil or—in Bowser’s case—well-financed mischief isn’t as applauded across the board. At this point, only a handful of series can get away with a character who is evil just because.

Bowser is one of the last of a dying breed in that respect.

The Greatest Cartoon Cat.

Tom Cat’s battles with Jerry Mouse made for some the funniest six-to-nine-minute shorts not involving Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck. In all honesty, Jerry gave Tom a rough time all though the Greatest Cartoon Cat did mess with Jerry as well. I mean, once Tom knew that Jerry was in the wall and spared no expense to kill Jerry.

The Rise and Decline of the 2000s Anime Fansub Scene.

Anime fansubs on the other hand couldn’t really compete with the speed and ease of paying a flat rate and getting all the content you want. It’s friendly to diehard anime fans, newbies, and the technologically impaired because torrenting—while not particularly difficult—was more involved than having a subscription.

Image Comics and HBO Should’ve Been the Dream Team for Superhero Content.

There was a ton of potential for this to be a big thing for Image Comics had it not ended whether it remained a cartoon or was given the live action treatment. However, there are always reasons for partnerships ending and who knows if it would’ve even extended to other series. Spawn has the content for spin-offs as both Curse of Spawn and Angela were good series when they came out.

The Technomancer is a Fine Blueprint for Focus Entertainment Games.

Even more weird is that this seems to be an issue with other Focus action RPG titles where you really have to learn the combat mechanics. With that said, if it becomes familiar in The Technomancer, you’ll take to other titles smoothly. This could be the source of my frustration with Vampyr early on. While I’ve played TT in the past, I didn’t connect that they were similar in some ways down to the combat.

Let’s Check Out for Pirate Game Pioneers.

The perfect pirate game belongs to Pirates! Gold. I’m certain I touched on this game before in passing but it’s definitely the greatest pioneer on this micro genre. You start as a citizen of France, England, the Netherlands, or Spain but as in all mentioned games—besides Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag—you can turn against your country, align with another, and either get a letter of marque to operate as a privateer or go full pirate.

You’re also able to assault town and forts, claim them for a country, attack treasure ships and big merchant hauls, and improve your ships—or get new ones. Of course, you’ve got to split the loot after lengthy voyages and you’re able to move up in society in the colonies.

There was a lot going on in a game made in 1987. I play the 1993 remake on the Sega Genesis as I was really into games like this and Aerobiz early on. They were just different from the more action-oriented titles I normally played.

The End of Cartoon Network 1992-2023.

Not only can you can do this whenever without a bunch of commercial breaks. That beats broadcast and cable television each and every time! If anything, it should’ve moved to being a digital network years earlier and exist as something like Crunchy Roll or Netflix for animation. Remaining an actual network was going to be a problem for this particular part of the WB Discovery networks.

Let’s Appreciate the Tournament Arc in Anime and Manga.

Another testament to the tournament arc’s flexibility is that it means the writer doesn’t necessarily have to make this a layered project. It can be layered with multi-character development and lore unlocks like the Chuunin exam battles in Naruto, rip like Kinnikuman, be a light-hearted affair, or a mix! The tournament arc is the stew of anime storylines—it can be a filling or filler as the writer wants.
