Black Lightning Season 2 Premiere, Characters, Villains & New Details.

(AfroGamers.com) Black Lightning Season 2 premiere will be the first glimpse at what to expect from the series next. The good thing is, we are just a couple of days away from the actual release of the new Black Lightning season. The show will be aired on The CW network from October 9. The first chapter, The Book of Consequences: The Rise of the Green Light Babies will feature our favorite Jefferson Pierce on screen.

We have compiled a list of all the details we know so far about Black Lightning Season 2 premiere and the show as a whole. More information about the TV series will be available in the coming days and rest assured, we will keep you up to date right here on AfroGamers.

The second season of Black Lightning picks up the story from where it was left in the first season. During an interview, the showrunner Salim Akil said viewers are going to see the consequences of the events that took place in the first season. We will see how the discovery of the pod children and Green Light’s arrival on the streets affects the storyline. Jefferson’s daughter will learn more about the powers she has discovered.

For viewers, the first chapter in the second season will be the time when they will see new details about the supervillain Tobias Whale and his source of motivation behind his willingness to burn the city. If you noticed, we didn’t get to hear anything about the A.S.A. briefcase but we know that it holds some deep secrets.

Tobias Whale stole that case from Proctor and he successfully manages to open the briefcase using Proctor’s thumbs. All we have seen in the first season is the green light glowing when he opens the case, but we don’t know what’s inside and how Tobias will use it. That briefcase is an important object Tobias holds and it certainly has something that’s not good for Freeland, and particularly for Black Lightning.

Actor Marvin “Krondon” Jones III revealed that the case will drive Tobias to complete some of his plans he has been working on. The actor said that the case is important because it took Tobias 13 episodes to reach to that level and now when the Black Lightning Season 2 is expected to have 16 episodes, Tobias will go crazy with what he has found.

In the second season of Black Lightning, Looker will play an important role. Looker is a member of the Outsiders. One thing you should know about Looker is that this character was a vampire at some point and also played a superhero. It’s still not clear how the character of Looker will be portrayed in Black Lightning Season 2 but we know for sure that Looker was mentioned on in the first season – Lawanda: The Book of Burial. The creators of the show say that they have planned an interesting approach for the same.

Pierce’s young daughter Jennifer will have so much more to do in Black Lightning Season 2. In the first season, her sister Anissa was free to use her superpowers but Jennifer tried to stay away from the issues. Now after the realization, she will take help of therapists as in the first season, she wasn’t able to deal with her psychological issues associated with the powers she possesses.

Jennifer always wanted to stay away from these things, she always played the role of an outsider and felt that she was an ordinary person living among all the powerful people. The community needs her because everyone in the family is expected to do something for the community and not using the powers can certainly put the members and Jennifer in trouble.

Just a few more days and fans will find out what’s going to happen in Black Lightning Season 2 and how far the consequences of the first season can go.
